Llangelynin Old Church - Conwy
Possibly one of the remotest churches in Wales. Llangelynin church is dedicated to Saint Celynin who lived in the 6th century and also established the first religious settlement here.
At a height of about 280 metres, above the village of Henryd in the Conwy valley... and is in the shelter of the nearby mountain of Tal-y-Fan that rises at 610 metres in the south-west.
The building dates from around the 12th or 13th century and is thought to be pre-dated by a smaller church made from timber, wattle and daub construction.
