Can the manifestation of ghost and spirits cause nausea, headaches and dizziness?

It might be something other than ghosts...

Did you know that there is a natural common cause for symptoms like these in a house or any other building with any form of fuel-burning systems fitted. These symptoms are quite possibly the cause of Carbon Monoxide.

What has this to do with the paranormal?

Well when you watch the myriad of paranormal TV programmes... what do they always seem to say and feel at the 'purportedly' chance encounter with a ghost or spirit?

Yes that's right... “Oh I'm starting to feel light-headed” or “I'm feeling dizzy” or even “I'm feeling a headache coming on”... and possibly other feelings being vocalised too. There are even those captured moments on TV of investigators collapsing and having to be taken away from the building due to possible oppression and/or possession.

One really has to sit back, look at the bigger picture and try to ascertain what is really going on. On TV it is "purely for entertainment purposes only"... so it is understandable they need to make the ratings. But there is a more possible natural phenomena that is a cause of these things...

Well that's where carbon monoxide might be the overall concluding factor!

What is carbon monoxide?

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a poisonous gas which cannot be seen, smelled or tasted... but it can quickly kill! Even if not fatal it can make you feel very unwell... and prolonged exposure can instigate long-term health problems that can include, but not limited to, brain damage.

So one can see that it is paramount to be fully aware of the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning and its inherent dangers.

How is it created?

When carbon-based fuels such as gas, oil, wood or coal are not burned in the right conditions. When there is not enough oxygen present during the burning process, for example when burning wood or coal in a fireplace with a blocked flue, carbon monoxide is usually the after effect.

What are the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning?

Carbon monoxide poisoning is quite often mistaken for flu, viral infection or food poisoning, as its symptoms are very similar. They include:-

1. Headaches

2. Nausea or vomiting

3. Dizziness or confusion

4. Chest pain or shortness of breath

5. Weakness or collapse

6. Loss of consciousness

Due to the vagueness of these symptoms, it is important to be aware of these additional signs which could suggest a carbon monoxide leak:-

1. Your symptoms only occur when you are at home and/or at your place of work (at work others might be feeling these symptoms too)

2. Your symptoms go away or improve when you are away from home and/or at work

3. Other people in your household and/or workplace are also experiencing symptoms, which appear at a similar time.

It is also worth noting that if you are sleeping or are perhaps already unwell or under the influence of drugs or alcohol, it is possible to be exposed to a fatal level of carbon monoxide before you even display or recognise any symptoms.

Carbon Monoxide and the paranormal

Although the two things seem far apart they might actually be closer than anyone realises. Many, many people claim to feel dizzy, confused and nauseated and coincide this with the presence of ghosts and spirits. Some people might say that it is down to paranormal activity these unwell feelings as they do not manifest when away from the property.

One could see their view-point, but then the most plausible reason is carbon monoxide and not ghosts and spirits!

But we all must remember that there is not actual validated proof of the existence of ghosts... but there is factual proof of carbon monoxide effect causes and symptoms. Some people would claim the sleepiness or illness feelings as identified above are all factors of oppression from a negative entity.

Again this is more to do with carbon monoxide.

Conclusion?

So it is a must to ensure all other possibilities have been checked and validated and rejected as a possible cause for any alleged paranormal activity before we opt for the conclusion that it is ghosts and spirits. If a client profoundly states they have some or all of these symptoms it must never be incited that it is ghostly in reason.

Take along a Carbon Monoxide detector and check the levels in the property before you share the person's reasoning... and even them it might be down to something else!
